The Guide

Choose the building.
Then the space.

A useful tour starts with your team's work, commute and move date. These four buildings give you different ways to solve the same office search.

Four addresses, different jobs

The Gehry Building

Frank Gehry redesigned and worked in this 1520 Cloverfield Creative warehouse. Tour it if architectural history and loft character matter to the team. 1520 Cloverfield Creative · The Gehry Building.

Cloverfield Corner

A standalone Santa Monica option at 1447 Cloverfield, with private patios and gated parking. Compare the actual plan and access with 1520. See Cloverfield Corner.

Westgate Media Park

A West LA campus near Expo/Bundy. Ask which current space and parking arrangement would fit your team. See Westgate.

1918 Main

A full-floor option in Santa Monica's Main Street district, with a different street-level setting. See 1918 Main.

Bring these questions

Ask for the floor plan of the space actually being offered. Where would the team work, meet, take calls and store equipment? Check daylight at the hours you'll use it, the walk from parking or transit, and the route for deliveries. For editing or recording, ask to test sound and confirm power and internet options for that suite. Those are fit questions, not promises about every room in a building.

Then compare the written terms: usable space, quoted rent and what it includes, parking cost and allocation, improvement responsibility, access hours and the expected delivery date. A beautiful tour cannot answer those for you.

Frequently asked questions

Which building should I see first?

Give leasing your approximate size, move date and preferred part of the Westside. The current space list will narrow the choice. For a full-floor Main Street setting, start with 1918 Main; for the Cloverfield corridor, compare 1520 and 1447; for a West LA campus, ask about Westgate.

Can I use a creative suite for recording?

Do not assume so from a building description. Test the specific room for sound and ask about electrical capacity, cooling, access and any approvals needed for improvements.

How should I compare parking?

Ask for the spaces allocated to the offered suite, their cost and whether additional spaces are available. A campus total or ratio does not tell you what your lease would include.

Are the listed spaces and rates current?

This guide compares buildings, not live inventory. Request a dated availability sheet, floor plan and written proposal from Lee & Associates West LA.
